The South Dakota Diabetes Coalition meets face-to-face twice a year at a Partners' Conference. The one-day conferences are usually held every April and September. A speaker is provided for the conference to offer education on a current diabetes topic followed by work group meetings focusing on our goals and objectives. The Changes & Challenges in Diabetes Care conference is held annually. This is a two-day conference supported by the Department of Health Diabetes Prevention & Control Program. In 2011, the conference was held in Sioux Falls and in 2012, it will be held in Rapid City and is currently scheduled for April 24-25, 2012. More information on this conference can be found at
